Onion Sprouts

I love watching onion plants sprout.
First a tiny loop emerges. The loop gradually lengthens to 1-2″ high.

Onion sprouts 10 days after planting seed.

Finally the seed end pops out, usually with the seed attached, producing a 3-4″ tall onion sprout with its seed waving in the breeze.

Onion sprouts 26 days after planting seed.
